Allahabad University LAT 2022: Allahabad University conducted the counselling process of Allahabad University LAT 2022 from October 10 to 12. Candidates could participate in their counselling rounds from the official website - https://ecounselling.in/. The cutoff marks for Unreserved category were 170, for OBC it was 159 and above, and for SC it was 138 and above.

What is LAT exam?

Law Admission Test (LAT) is an entrance exam conducted by Allahabad University for admissions to three year LLB courses. Through LAT exam, candidates are offered admissions to more than 1100 seats of the 3-year LLB courses offered at Faculty of Allahabad -AU, and its constituent colleges, Chowdhary Mahadev Prasad Degree College and Allahabad Degree College. The entrance exam is conducted in pen-paper based test and computer-based test mode. The final admissions are based on entrance test scores, eligibility criteria and seat reservation criteria.

LAT 2022 carries single paper of 150 multiple choice questions of 2 hours duration divided into three parts. Each question carries 2 marks. 

Note: For admissions to the five-year integrated law course, the university conducts a separate entrance exam known as - Law Faculty Admission Test (LFAT).

Allahabad University LAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admissions through LAT exam should fulfil the eligibility criteria as under: 

• Candidates should have completed their graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university
• They should have obtained at least 45% marks in the qualifying degree if belonging to general category, 42% marks if belonging to OBC category and 40% marks if belonging to SC/ ST category
• Candidates appearing in the final year examination of their graduation degree can also apply for LAT, however, their eligibility will be considered only if they submit the proof of qualifying the degree at the time of final admissions.

On the exam day, candidates should follow a few instructions as under: 

• They should reach their allotted test centre at least an hour before the exam schedule for document verification and seat arrangement purpose.
• They should carry LAT 2022 admit card and one valid photo ID proof - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN card etc. with them.
• The candidates should also carry two pens (black or blue colour) and an HB pencil to mark answers on the OMR sheet. 
• In any case, candidates should avoid carrying mobile phones, earphones, watches, or even study material to the examination centre. Such items will not be allowed inside the examination, and, there may also not be any facility to keep them outside the test centre.
