No, it is not compulsory for to be from mathematics background only. A student who took PCB, can also apply. Although the paper would be having all four sections. You may choose to leave one section, do well in others and leave the rest on the evaluation. Believe me, it worked for me and others here in IISER.

You have to have Maths in +2 to be eligible for admission in SRCC. I'm sorry but I don't think there's any alternative.

Dear Mansi!
Currently, DU does't conduct any 'Entrance Exam' for giving admission for B.Com or B.Com (Hons). It's purely based upon your class 12th marks. However, for BBA/BBE you need to clear DU JAT exam for which only those students are eligible who are having maths as a compulsory subject in Class 12th. Hope this helps.
