No, it's not. You must have a language subject, one subject in the line of the course, and two any other subjects you've studied. That totally depends on the college in which you are applying. Some colleges usually impose additional eligibility criterion which includes minimum marks you need in mathematics in order to be eligible for the aforementioned courses. It is compulsory to have studied mathematics in class 11th and 12th to be eligible for admission in courses like B.Com (Hons).

Yes, if you pass your compartmental exam then you are eligible to take admission in any college, but keep eye on their boards percentage criteria and the counselling time because at the time of counselling you need to produce the all clear marksheet.
