Of course, you can go for coaching while in the last year of BBA or during the last semester. There are coaching institutes which provides coaching on weekends so that will be easier for you to balance out both college and coaching studies. Also make sure you do regular practice of the questions and solve as much mock tests possible side by side.

Since you are in the minority quota, there are fair chances that you may get through for the MS programme. Keep your fingers crossed.

I do not think at all that any education done from an approved place with honesty can be looked down upon. While doing CAT Preparation, it may not be possible to devote full time to a regular course so doing a Distance Course is safeguarding your gap year. Suppose I am a BBA or B.A. And I am preparing for CAT for MBA. I may start doing some PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Comm or Advertising and PR. That won't do any harm, rather I can present that I did not stop studying.

The passing percentage is 55% aggregate in one subject.
Eg.
Business Economics: split into 2 papers of 3 hours each- Paper I and paper II. You have to score a minimum of 55 marks in Paper I and min 55 marks in Paper II. Then the aggregate is calculated as (55+55)/2 = 110/2 = 55%.
If you read the manual carefully, you'll also understand that the min marks required to pass in one paper (not subject) is 45 marks or %. In that case, you will have to score at least 65% in the second paper of that subject.
With reference to the above example, if I score 45 marks in paper I of Bussiness Economics, I must score 65 marks in paper II of Bussiness
