There are many MBA colleges which accept 70-75 percentile in ATMA exam. Majority of these institutes are private. Sometimes, the institutes conduct multiple rounds of counselling wherein the cutoff may tone down. Total marks of MAT exam is 150. Every question carries one mark for correct attempt and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. No marks is deducted for skipping questions. The MAT question paper has 150 questions equally divided into five sections - Language Comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis & Data Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills and Economic and Business Environment.

Each participating institute releases its own ATMA cutoff. The ATMA cutoff determines if the student will be eligible to appear for the ATMA selection process which includes Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. The following are the various factors that determine the ATMA cutoff:

ATMA cut offs are not announced along with the ATMA result. Individual participating institutes release their own cutoff and they are known after a few days of result announcement when the colleges start their shortlisting process. The ATMA scores and percentiles of the candidates shortlisted for Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview PI can be considered the cut off for the participating institute. ATMA cutoff is a major criteria for students to get admissions to their desired colleges. No, MAT exam is not compulsory for admission to the MBA exam. Magadh University accepts the scores of CAT MAT XAT CMAT and ATMA exams for MBA admissions.

Ganpat University accepts the scores of CAT MAT XAT CMAT and ATMA exams for MBA admissions. So MAT exam is not compulsory for admission in MBA Course.

The NIFT CAT exam will be administered in an offline mode and will be a drawing-based exam. During the course of the exam, the candidate is not allowed to write any personal details and place identification marks.
