The UK and the USA are generally considered to have the most valuable MBBS degrees due to their prestigious medical schools and advanced healthcare systems. However, other countries like Canada, Germany, and Australia also offer high-quality medical education and globally recognised degrees. For Indian students, countries like Russia, China, and the Philippines are popular choices due to their affordability and quality of education.

To be eligible for the MBBS programme at Government Medical College Kozhikode, candidates need to have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects. A minimum of 50% marks in these subjects is required, with a relaxation of 5% for reserved categories. Additionally, candidates must qualify in the NEET UG examination and participate in the NEET UG counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
