To join merchant navy you can take IMU CET Exam, TMI SAT, WBJEE, JEE Advanced, CUSAT or CAT. The above mentioned exams are conducted for class 12th appearing candidates.

You cannot get job in merchant navy based on your computer background. However based on your PCM in 10+2 stage, you can get yourself trained as a sailor or merchant navy officer. If you want to become a merchant navy officer then you may do either BSc nautical science or marine engineering degree
