Both KJ Somaiya and DJ Sanghvi are equally good for placements, but DJ Sanghvi sometimes has an advantage. However, DJ Sanghvi is better than KJ Somaiya because of its faculty. Some say that DJ Sanghvi has a brilliant faculty with many well-known authors and experienced professors.

Yes, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) offers a course in Sound Recording and Sound Design. Candidates will have to clear the FTII JET exam to get admission in Sound Design course. The Sound Engineering Course in Sound Recording & TV Engineering will teach students about the various technical & aesthetic aspects of Sound, enabling them to create effective soundscapes.

For sound engineering, candidate's need to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Physics as a subject at senior secondary (10+2) level also they will have to qualify in the written examination of the Joint Entrance Test (JET) of 3 hours duration for 100 marks, conducted at examination centres around the country.
