NIFT entrance exam pattern is three-tiered in its format for B.Des and M.Des course admissions. As part of the NIFT entrance exam 2019, candidates need to first appear for Creative Ability Test (CAT) which is followed by a General Ability Test (GAT). The final admission round for BDes course is a Situation Test and that for MDes is GD/PI round. On the other hand, for BFTech course admissions candidates need to appear for GAT only whereas for MFTech and MFM programmes candidates need to appear for GAT and GD/PI admission round.

No coaching is not at all compulsory for entrance exam especially for written but you can join coaching for second stage where you can practice with other students and check your progress comparatively along with other students.
