SASTRA university is a better choice as it has a better nirf ranking which ensures that it provides better educational facilities than other universities in the area. But this does not gurantee that Periyar Maniammai University would be a lesser good. Both universities have their pros and cons.

Fee structure in the uiniversity is decided based on which course you are pursuing, thus there would be a different cost for every student. To find what the university will cost you, break it down to academic fees, hostel charges, food expenses, travelling expenses and miscalleneous expense, then you might get a rough estimate about your cost of the university.

Periyar Maniammai University has a lush green campus, and has a fairly beautifully constructed infrastructure. Multiple compititions also take place which provide cultural exposures as well.
Thus, we can conclude that one can have a good student life if all exposure is utilised to the best.

A B.Tech degree in the field of Aerospace, Civil, and Artificial intelligence is famous from Periyar Maniammai University.

But for a student I would advise that you not only look at the University's data of field prefernce but also to understand what you as a student hold an interest into and choose your desired course.

The entrance exam is based upon the JEE main exam  and the entrance  exam of thus university.  About 20 percent Sat's are fulfilled by the JEE exam and 60 percent are fulfilled by the entrance exam  of this university. You have to score 95 to 97 percentile to get the seat in this college through JEE main and if you want admission through entrance exam of this university then you have to score at least 105 marks put of 200 and if you score 135 marks out of 200 then you can get good B.Tech stream .

Yes slightly better than sastra university  as far fees is concerned  the fees is slightly less than sastra university. You can get more engineering streams as compared to sastra and curriculum is good no burden on the students as far as exams is concerned.

You can get good industrial knowledge  in thus university and faculty is also far better than any pvt university as far as main campus is concerned.   From placement perspective salary around 20 Lacs is given upto 60 percent students and uptov50 Lacs to 5 to 10 percent student which is also  a big deal as compared to sastra university.
