You can opt for Ph.D in general management. The scope is very good and you may get good opportunities to be a part of global institutions and committees as well as professional coaching opportunities at top notch B-schools.

You need to have at least 55% in your Master's degree and you need to search for the institute offering the course. You also have to apply for the entrance exam and need to submit your research proposal.

IT is because research methodology is the main point, where you read how to conduct research, how to analyse, how to see efficiency of the data and how to remove bias.
You definitely need to have your subject area and research area knowledge, but if you don't know research methodology such as data collection and analysis method, how to form a hypothesis, what are different type of hypothesis and how it matters, how to do critical review and writing references, etc.

Hi,
As per UGC guidelines, one should have 2 years of Master's degree to pursue Ph.D program in the relevant field. If your executive program is for 2 years duration and your university have proper approval from UGC and AICTE, then you need to check from UGC for the final words.
All the best.
