Yes, PhD programs are possible on Distance Mode. As far as the mandatory requirements are concerned, every university has their own set of rules & regulations.
For more details I suggest you get in touch with your desired institutes. There are many International universities in India offering PhD programs on Distance Mode.

Hi,
1. The eligibility criteria for PhD varies for every institute. The basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline. However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two Research Publications for the PhD programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
