1. Christ College, 2 year Doctor of Philosophy- Computer Science
Eligibility-
A pass with 55% marks in Post graduation and M.Phil. in the relevant subject from any recognized university.
A research proposal (Maximum 1500 words) has to be submitted along with the application.
2. Jamia Millia Islamia, 3 year Doctor of Philosophy- Computer Science

Hi,
You can opt for PhD in Marketing, Finance or Management.
The eligibility criteria varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline. However the cut off percentages vary.
Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two Research Publications for the PhD programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
Duration:- 2 to 3 year depends on Thesis
Traditionally, the most preferred jobs for PhD's have been industrial R&D Labs, university positions, and start-ups.

Dear Gurinder,PTU is Approved by UGC and DEC , so Degrees are valid for Govt Jobs and Further Studies.There Is no problem for Jobs and NET/Phd

Yes, PhD programs are possible on Distance Mode. As far as the mandatory requirements are concerned, every university has their own set of rules & regulations.
For more details I suggest you get in touch with your desired institutes. There are many International universities in India offering PhD programs on Distance Mode.
