Over 9,000 international students are there at Purdue University. Indian students who want to take admission to the UG courses should have completed Class 10 and Class 12. For admission to PG courses of Purdue, Indian students should have completed a Bachelor's degree.

Yes, to get into Purdue University, Indian students have to submit an essay along with the application. This supplemental essay can be submitted via the Common Application.
It should be noted that the Purdue University application is not considered complete until this submission.

Yes, there are multiple intakes offered at Purdue to Indian students such as the Fall, Spring and Summer.
The Purdue Fall semester is the most popular as it offers the the widest range of courses, including Computer Science and Engineering, for Indian students.
The Summer intake offered here has very limited options and this intake is mostly for some specific and shorter term programs.

The Spring intake offered at Purdue University is one of the main intakes here, and it offers almost all the Pursue courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The admission deadlines generally fall around October or November of the previous year. The applicants wishing to apply should submit all the admission materials by Dec 1, 2026 for the Spring intake.

Indian students admitted to the MBA course of Purdue Uni are eligible for a merit-based scholarship. This merit-based award fo not required any additional application. The students are considered automatically. Awards shall be released for admitted students approximately every 2 weeks.

Yes, deferral to the next intake at Purdue University is very possible for Indian students.
If an applicant has received an offer letter for the Fall intake, they can get it deferred for the Spring or Summer intake, given that the particular course is available in that semester.
The students can simply do it via the official admission portal and by writing an email to the Purdue admissions office.

Yes, for some selected courses at UG and PG levels, Purdue University offers the Spring and Summer intakes. Although the Purdue fall semester is the most popular intake, a wide range of courses is offered.
The application for the Spring intakes generally start from the month of September and go on till November. And the Summer ones go on between January and April.
There are some courses like Masters in Engineering, where only the Fall semester is available.
