With an RMIT University acceptance rate of 65% (taken from an unofficial source), it cannot be considered very difficult to get into this university.

When it comes to the Shiksha Popularity Rankings for RMIT, it ranks #195 in the World and #13 in Australia. Whereas if we talk about the RMIT Placements it has been rated 3.3 for Internships, 4.2 for Part time work, 3.5 for Post study jobs, and 3.3 for Value for money. Overall RMIT has been rated a 3.9 on a scale of 5, suggesting that studying at this university is worthwhile.

The duration of Master of Food Science and Technology at RMIT is 2 years. The tuition fees is around AUD 44,160 for the 2026 semester (Around INR 25 lakh). Students are going to develop skills and knowledge in food processing and preservation; food safety, packaging, and labelling; chemical properties of food materials; and food product and process innovation. Also, note that this degree has strong links to industry that are showcased through two work-integrated learning (WIL) experiences.

- The course work is quite decent and there are many things to do on-campus
- The university is good and the students are supportive and the staff is co-operative
- The safety measures at the university are taken very seriously, with CCTVs everywhere and security guards around the university
- There is one RMIT Job Shop that is drop in-service centre for all things related to career such as cover letter reviews, job interview preparation, help in finding part-time / full-time job opportunities, careers workshops and events

The duration of RMIT MS in CS course is 2 years. For the 2026 intake, the annual tuition fee for this course is AUD 38,400 (Around INR 22 lakh). This is a research-based course. So, students are going to have flexibility to pursue an individual topic or contribute to one of the existing areas. This university links formal learning with professional or vocational practice. Computer Science and IT projects are heavily based on industry needs. Currently, the university is working with companies like Microsoft, Seek, Deloitte Digital, Sensis, etc.
