During the semester, RWTH Aachen students are allowed to take up jobs within working hours of up to 19 hours a week. However, during the semester break, students may work full-time but only for a maximum of 13 consecutive weeks. International students at RWTH Aachen University can take up work in the private sector during the semester or semester break for up to 4 months without having obtained a work permit. Thus, students can take up full-time work for 140 days or part-time positions (up to 4 hours per day) or 280 days.
