All aspirants are automatically considered for academic scholarships. Depending on their academic application and supporting documents submitted during admission, aspirants are awarded scholarships. The financial aid and different scholarships offered to aspirants at the Valpo campus are:

Financial Aid: This refers to the financial aid disbursed to aspirants at Valpo University shortly before the Valpo semester. Under normal circumstances, students must visit the Financial Aid Office to receive this scholarship.

• Endowed Study Abroad Scholarships: This scholarship is offered by a few liberal donors as a means of assisting students. It helps students plan their studies abroad.

World Languages and Cultures Scholarships

• National Scholarships: National scholarships are offered to almost all students regardless of competition. In the past, most Valpo students received this scholarship. With the help of study abroad programme advisors, students can avail themselves of this scholarship.

• Inclusive Ireland Scholarships: This scholarship is offered to BIPOC (Black Indigenous and People of Color) students studying abroad in Ireland. This scholarship is offered in collaboration with Diversity Abroad, Education in Ireland.

• Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students studying Critical Need Language courses. For instance, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Turkic, Russian, Korean, etc. Students can receive USD 3000 per summer and USD 4000 per semester or up to USD 5000 per year.

• Diversity Abroad Scholarships: To ensure all students have equal access to opportunities for traveling and studying abroad, students are offered this scholarship.

The Tata Scholarship Fund supports around 20 scholars at any point in time and make sure that top Indian students have access to Cornell University, regardless of their financial conditions. These scholarships are awarded annually and recipients receive this scholarship for the duration of their UG studies at Cornell. To receive this UG scholarship, the applicants must fulfill the below-given eligibility requirements:

• The recipient must be an Indian citizen who has attended secondary school in India
• Offered admission to Cornell University as an undergraduate student
• Eligible for need-based financial aid

Preference is given to the following students accepted to the below-given programs:

• College of Engineering
• College of Architecture, Art and Planning
• Applied Economics and Management major
• Majors across colleges in Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and other Sciences, as well as the Social Sciences

• UG students eligible for Tata Scholarship shall be considered if they complete the admission application and apply for financial aid. All the applicants must apply for financial aid by completing the CSS profile
