Dear aspirant, Undergraduate Scholarships: In addition to need-based scholarships, the university supports undergraduate students through 15000 endowment scholarship funds. While international students were not catered to under these funds earlier, the situation has improved now. Around 85 of Stanford endowment scholarships are designed to support international students. Graduate Scholarships: International students beginning graduate programs at Stanford University are eligible for various program-specific scholarships such as Stanford Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship, AMA Medical Scholarship, Knight Hennessy Scholarship, etc. In total there are 50 such scholarships available at Stanford University. The Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship is provided to the students who are domicile of Maharashtra state. The other eligibility criteria to be fulfilled to apply for the scholarship are given below:
The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra state or should belong to the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka. The candidate should be currently in Class 12th or passed the board exams to be eligible for this scholarship. The applicant should belong to the Maratha community. He/ she should be pursuing any professional/ non-professional course approved by the DHE at a Government-aided/ Non-government aided/ Partially aided/ Unaided/ Permanent Unaided college/ institution. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources. The candidate should have taken admission for the course through the general quota. Students pursuing part-time/ distance learning/ correspondence courses are not eligible to apply. Only the first 2 children of a family are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
