Here is the criteria to enrolled in the course

Candidate must have passed ME/ M.Tech/MS by Research/5 year integrated Masters/Dual Degree in relevant Engineering/2 year M.Sc from IITs (entry through JAM) with CGPA 8.0 and above. BS+MS (5 year integrated) from CFTI with the areas of specialisation required:

Machine learning, Information Security, Image Processing, VLSI & Embedded system, Computer Networking, IoT

No Entrance Test needed.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 16851 and closing rank was 23991. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 23471 and 32422. Admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIIT Surat - Indian Institute of Information Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Hello Dhruv Parekh, frankly speaking the admissions are based on the ranking and not on the percentile. Of course the ranking depends on percentile but more than one student can have the same percentile and in such scenario, national testing agency has a formula to break this tie and then award ranking. Your present time is quite good and I am sure with this percentile you are ranking also would be quite hi but then your ranking amongst the SC category of students will count and not your CRL ranking.
