out of 35, 29 students got core offers which denotes 90% students got placed which is very lucrative, hence Instrumentation Engineering is recommended for COE Pune. The college needs dedicated orchestrated efforts to rope in many more companies as the list is not exhaustive enough for such huge strength of students at COE and revitalize its strategy to attract companies.

Mumbai is a one of the well-known engineering colleges in Maharashtra and is said to be ranked second in Maharashtra after College of engineering, Pune (excluding IITs and NITs). Getting into this college through MH-CET requires a lot of efforts too. Placements of VJTI are pretty good when compared to other government colleges in Maharashtra. For EEE department last time (2016-17) out of 64 students who applied to placements from EEE department 59 students were placed meaning 92.18 percent placement for EEE which is a quite good number. More than 55 companies visited the campus for recruiting from EEE department. The lowest package offered was around 3 LPA and the highest package offered was around 19.5 LPA. The internships duration is mostly around 2 months to 4months on average. VJTI is known for its academia and widely reputed as ranks in top 25 colleges in India. The diverse set of students bring peer learning at its best and also alumni support is great. The college has hands-on experience training in soft skills, psychometric tests, aptitude tests such that students are well versed for final Placements and secure their jobs easily.

You are taught regarding the basic applications of a technology. It makes you an expert at the surface level of the tech, which will aide you to develop skills required at the industrial level. A good example would be a Network Administrator. You need to know about Networking and some basic hardware and software rules. IT can teach you what you need to know about their functionalities. Computer Science and Engineering on the other hand, is dedicated to both professional and research tracks. A Computer Engineer is someone who would have indepth knowledge about the Hardware systems as well as the Software systems. Although, Computer Engineers are often categorised with Electrical Engineers. As they are both dedicated to expertise in the Hardware division while having above average knowledge on Theoretical or Software division of Computers. You will observe that most Universities have a common department for CS and EE. E. g. EECS in MIT. A Computer Scientist is the opposite to a Computer Engineer. Computer Scientists work on Software systems and Theoretical CS. Either ways, CS. Would not give you such in-depth knowledge.
