The IIM, Udaipur provides reservation as stated in the Government of India norms and as mentioned in CAT 2023 advertisement for the Eligibility and Information Bulletin.

The institute welcomes non-resident Indians under a distinct programme called Direct Admission for Students Abroad (DASA) as well as international students through scholarships supported by the Indian government.

As it is a private institution, NMIMS has never used management quotas, caste restrictions or any other forms of reservations. It being a private institution is governed by trustees and decisions about the enhanment of the university's reputation would be decided by the institute trust members.

There is an intake of 180 students per year for B.Tech programme, out of which 50% seats are reserved for the students with state of eligibility as Manipur and the rest 50% seats are for the students of other states of India.
