SRM University conducts SRM JEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Also, direct admission is not valid either. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and M.Tech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam.
To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a preparation strategy to ace the exam.

The national engineering entrance test (SRMJEE) is required for admission to BTech programmes offered at SRMIST campuses. Physics, Chemistry, Math/Biology, Aptitude, and English are the subjects covered in MCQ-style questions in this entrance exam, which is based on the 10+2 syllabus. At the time of counselling, candidates who were chosen based on their SRMJEEE scores are assigned to a campus and a course according to their course preference. No, it is not important compulsory to appear for all phases of SRMJEEE Examination . Candidates can appear for one, two or three phases as they please. To know more about the SRMJEEE examination, candidates can refer to the official website of SRMJEEE Examination.

Yes, the last date to submit the application form of SRMJEE Examination is the same i.e. on 13th April 13. Candidates can download the application form online and get it printed to fill it and submit it online. The fees for the examination is INR 1200 . The application form for SRMJEEE examination is released on 10th November 2023. The exam is most likely to conducted in the months of April to June 2024. The examination is divided into three phases.

You have a chance of getting into the Mechanical Engineering branch in the main campus of SRM University with a rank of 20,000. Others say that you can get admission in mechanical engineering in the main campus with a rank of 41,054.

You can get admission in mechanical engineering at the SRM main campus with a rank of 26,000. However, last year's closing rank for the Chennai main branch was 31,000. You can take part in the counseling.
SRM has more seats available for mechanical and civil departments. The Chennai campus of SRM is considered the best for mechanical engineering.

Yes, you can get into the main campus of SRM with an 18k rank in SRMJEEE. However, your chances of getting the CSE branch are less.
The overall cutoff for SRMJEEE is 10000 - 70000 rank. The CSE department at SRM main campus has 4,500 seats. Students who score above 95 percentile are given category A ranks, and students who score between 90-95 percentile are given category B ranks.
