The SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) exam is divided into two papers. Paper I is a computer-based test with two sections: General Hindi and General English, each carrying 100 marks. It tests the skills of translation, grammar, and comprehension, and takes 2 hours. Paper II is a descriptive paper, testing the translation and essay writing in both Hindi and English, meant to test candidates' language and translation abilities. This paper is 200 marks, lasting 2 hours. Both papers are very important for selection and Paper I is objective and Paper II subjective.
