Candidates wishing to get admission in BSc at St. John's National Academy of Health Sciences should have passed Class 12 with an aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects (40% for SC&ST Candidates). Passing in Englsih is mandatory. The candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December, 2026.

It is approved by MCI, Government of Karnataka. It has three associated colleges, namely Medical College, Nursing College, and a Research Institute. It is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. As per the NIRF 2025, the institute is ranked 30 under "Medical" category.
