No. Since the Student Direct Stream ended in 2024, all Indian applicants go through the regular stream - where a GIC is one of several accepted proof-of-funds documents - but not a mandatory one.

Yes, on-campus housing is guranteed for Indian students who satisfy any of the conditions below:
- An PG student, home or overseas, who has accepted admission and applied for housing on or before Jun 30
- An UG or Foundation student, home or overseas, who accepted an admission offer and applied for housing on or before Jun 30
