There is no fixed time for this. Time varies widely. But, reaching basic fluency (JLPT N4/N5) takes 6 months to 1 year of preparation. For achieving advanced proficiency, you need 3 to 5 years.

It is not mandatory for Indian students to learn Japanese to study in Japan. You can study here in English language. Yes, universities in Japan prefer candidates who are proficient in Japanese.

Not everywhere. Most public universities are free (only €200-€300 semester fee). But in Baden-Württemberg state (universities like Heidelberg, KIT), Indian students must pay €1,500 tuition fee per semester. Also, TUM (Munich) has started charging fees recently. Always check official website before applying.

To get your student visa, you must show proof of funds. You have to open a Blocked Account and deposit €11,904 (approx ₹11 Lakhs). You cannot use this money all at once. The bank will give you back €992 per month for your living expense. This is mandatory rule.

The University of Vienna acceptance rate is around 33%. Vienna University is selecetive, so, Indian students with a good academic background have a higher chance of admission to this university. Admission to Master's courses of this university would require Indian students to submit a Bachelor's degree, GMAT / GRE score, language proficiency. For admission to UG courses admissions, Indian students have to submit a secondary school leaving certificate.

Please check the Reporting Time on your email. You should reach the centre 30 minutes early. Once the main GATE is closed, the security will not allow anyone to enter. You will lose your exam fee. So please check traffic and plan properly.
