No, Indian students do not always need to submit an IELTS score for the University of Southampton admissions. This university accepts specific Indian-school-level English qualification in place of IELTS.
Check the pointers given out to see if you qualify for an IELTS waiver -
- If you have studied at a CBSE or CISCE school for the final four years of your education and also scored at least 70% in English in class 12th, then you do not need to take IELTS
- If you do not meet the above requirement, then you would need an IELTS band score of 6.5.
