Yes, T. John Institute of Technology provides lateral entry admission to the BTech program. Diploma holders in engineering or equivalent can apply. They are taken directly into the second year of the program, depending on eligibility and seat availability. Admissions through lateral entry also have a merit-based selection process.

T. John Institute of Technology does not allot a specific rank but takes good performance in entrance exams into account. Greater ranks in JEE Main or COMEDK enhance the possibility of allotment of seats. Admission is based on cut-offs, competition, and intake capacity of seats. Final allotment takes place through the counselling procedure.

T. Scholarships are not specifically offered by Bangalore's John Institute of Technology (TJIT). Students may, however, apply for a number of scholarship programs offered by the federal government, the state government, or the AICTE. Scholarships are also offered for supernumerary quota, SC, ST, and OBC category students who pass their first-year subjects with success. Even though TJIT might not directly offer scholarships, looking into these outside options can help considerably reduce the cost of enrolling in undergraduate courses at TJIT.
