No, the PhD admission at TNAU is closed for the year 2023. The online submission of the application form was from 22 May 2023 to 16 June 2023 up to 11.30 PM. The student shall apply for only three subjects in the TNAU PG programme. Separate fee is to be forwarded for each subject. Candidates looking for admission to PhD can apply for only one subject.

Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year as on 1 July 2023. However, for scheduled castes (SC), Scheduled Caste-Arunthathiyars (SCA) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) there is no age limit. Apart from this, five years of age relaxation will be given for differently abled candidates.

In order to get admission in PG course at TNAU the university conducts it's own entrance test called GAT-B. Students applying for DBT supported GAT-B MSc (Agriculture) Molecular Biology & Biotechnology programme need not appear for TNAU Common PG entrance examination led by the School of Post Graduate Studies, TNAU, Coimbatore.
