NTA, the examination conducting body has declared the ICAR AICE PhD Results on the official website of ICAR on August 21, 2023. Test takers can visit the official website of ICAR and by using their application number and date of birth can login to their respective account in order to download their result. ICAR AICE Results were declared in the form of score card.

A total of 37,119 candidates registered for the exams including 27,538 aspirants for AIEEA PG 2023 and 9,761 for AICE PhD 2023. Of the total registered, 33,828 students appeared for the tests including 24,948 for PG and 8,880 for PhD exams.
Candidates who had appeared for ICAR AICE 2023 PhD exam can expect the ICAR Counselling to proceed in the last of August or the first week of September.
The exams were held on July 9 at 144 examination centres across 88 cities. A total of 37,119 candidates were registered, of whom 33,828 appeared in it. The candidates were given an opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key from August 3 to 5. The agency had also displayed question papers and recorded responses to the computer-based tests.
The candidates were given an opportunity to challenge the Provisional Answer Key from August 3 to 05.08.2023 along with the display of the Question Paper, and Recorded responses.
In this duration, about 284 for PhD Answer Key challenges were received out of which and 194 for PhD were unique challenges. Challenges were shown to the concerned Subject Experts. Based on their feedback and after incorporating the changes, the Final Answer Keys were prepared which were used in preparing the Result AICE-JRF/SRF (PhD)

What is ICAR AICE SRF/JRF?
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts the All India Competitive Examination (AICE) in order to offer candidates admission in Doctoral Degree Programmes (PhD) and an award for JRF/SRF (PGS). The ICAR AICE SRF/JRF is conducted on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The ICAR AICE JRF/SRF is conducted in 70 subjects at 89 cities all over the country to ensure participation for admission in doctoral degree programmes in different disciplines of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Veterinary, Animal Sciences, Agril. Engineering, Community Science (erstwhile Home Science), Fisheries, Dairy Science and other allied sciences.

ICAR AICE JRF/SRF Counselling
The ICAR AICE JRF/SRF 2023 counselling process is expected to be start soon in the first week of October, 2023. As NTA has not mentioned any particular date for the start of the counselling process, candidates are requested to stay tuned with the official website for any further news regarding the ICAR AIEEA PG 2023 and ICAR AICE PhD Counselling process.
Online Registration of candidates who have qualified for the ICAR JRF exam will need to register online for the counseling process. Check the official website for the counseling registration link and follow the instructions provided. Choice Filling of the desired universities/ colleges during the counseling registration process, you will be required to fill in your choices of institutions and courses where you wish to pursue your research program. Make sure to prioritize your choices carefully.
ICAR AICE JRF/SRF Result
The ICAR AICE JRF/SRF results were released online on the official website of ICAR AICE NTA. Students have to log in to check the results. The results contain the candidate’s marks secured and percentage.The overall Merit/Rank List was prepared by ICAR separately for every major Subject. In the event of candidates getting equal marks in the Entrance Examination, relative/inter se Merit will be determined.
No representation for re-evaluation/re-checking of answer scripts shall be entertained after the declaration of results because candidates are given an opportunity to evaluate their own recorded responses and challenge discrepancies if any before finalising the final answer key and declaration of the result.

ICAR AICE JRF/SRF 2023 Counselling
The ICAR AIECE JRF/SRF 2023 counselling process will be conducted in online mode. The process will commence with the release of the rank card and counselling letter on the official website of ICAR, icar.org.in. Qualified candidates will have to register for the counselling process by filling up the online form with the mandatory details and paying the registration fee of INR 500. The next step is Choice Filling wherein candidates have to make the choice of courses/universities in the stipulated time period.
Candidates can update his/her choices any number of times before the last date/until the choices are locked by the candidate. On the last day of choice filling his/her last saved choices will be automatically locked and the same list will be considered for further counselling rounds. The eligible candidates who have been allotted any seat (subject to document verification and payment of Seat Acceptance Fee) will be intimated through email and SMS about the allotted course and University and they will be able to download the Allotment Letter from the portal. They have to upload all the relevant documents within a stipulated period on the ICAR AICE Counselling portal for verification by the concerned universities.
The candidate is not required to physically report for admission at the admitting university during any round of counselling. Upon successful verification of documents, they will have to pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 10,000 or opt for seat degradation. Candidates will have to produce all the original documents (as uploaded by him/her on the portal) for physical verification by the university during registration or attending classes in the finally allotted university.

ICAR AICE JRF/SRF Admission Process
The admission process for ICAR AICE JRF/SRF is as follows:
Registration: Candidates had to visit the official website of ICAR AICE NTA and register themselves. The candidates needed to register to get details on email ID and mobile phone. Once registered, they could proceed to apply for admission in the course interested in.
Fill Up Application Form: Once registered candidates could proceed to apply online. They had to enter the following details:
- Personal Details – Name, Address, Phone No, Category, Parents Details
- Academic Details – Class 10, Class 12, Graduation, Postgraduation details
- Upload Images – Passport Size Photograph and Signature

Counselling: Students who make the merit list, will have to appear for the counselling session at the given date and time. ICAR AICE JRF/SRF Admit Card
The admit card serves as an official identification document that verifies your eligibility to take the ICAR JRF exam. It typically contains your name, photograph, and other personal details, ensuring that you are the rightful candidate appearing for the test.
Once candidates successfully applied online, the admit card could be downloaded from the official website of ICAR AICE NTA. The admit card is an important document that needs to be carried to the exam centre which will be mentioned on the admit card.
Make sure to check all the details on the admit card, including your name, photograph, examination date, time, and venue. If you find any discrepancies, contact the exam authorities immediately for correction. On the day of the exam, carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhar card, passport, driving license, or PAN card) to the exam center.
ICAR AICE JRF/SRF 2023 Eligibility Criteria
- Indian nationals who have passed Master’s Degree programme with a minimum of Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) from any public-funded/Govt. the institution will be eligible. In other cases, where grade points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured a minimum per cent score as shown in the table below:

- Candidates who passed out from private universities which are not accredited by ICAR, are not eligible for the examinations. Students who have studied from private universities accredited by ICAR are eligible.
- The candidate must complete the postgraduate degree in all respects and should have all the degree-completion requirements at the time of Counseling/admission in the university failing which they will not be considered for admission and the award of the fellowship.
- Education Qualification – The candidate should have done their postgraduate programme with a minimum Overal Grade Pont Average (OGPA) from any university which is accredited by ICAR.
- Age Criteria: The candidate should be 20 years old minimum to apply.
