Yes, you can appear for the UGC NET in Forensic Science. But, according to your educational qualification, it is better that you can apply for the CSIR NET Life Science as well as CSIR NET Chemical Science exam. CSIR NET exam also conducted for the aspirants who wants to become researcher or lecturer.

Eligibility for the course is as below:
Candidate must have Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks and 45% for General and for the SC/ST/OBC/PH category respectively.
Or,
Bachelor's Degree with Diploma (one year) in Library Science
Or,
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of working experience in Library and Information Center.

If you are from reserved. Category you might get into another degree as there is a relaxation sometimes of 5 percent. Find out with the distance education universities as it seems possible to pursue based on 45 percent as well.

Hello Rahul,
As you related to Science stream, so CSIR NET exam is the better option for you on the place of UGC NET exam. As per the CSIR NET exam guidelines you can apply for the exam in your post-graduation subject or related to that subject. According to your qualification, you can appear for the CSIR NET Chemical Science exam, if you have minimum 55% aggregate marks in M.Pharma. Reserved category candidates get the 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks. If you want to apply for the CSIR NET JRF exam, then your age must not be exceed 28 years. UGC NET Exam is conducted for the Lectureship and Research programme whereas he exam is conducted every year in the month of June and December month. You can prepare for this exam but the eligibility to appear in this exam is completing Post graduation in any subject with atleast 55 % marks. (50% marks for the reserved candidates). The candidates in the final year/sem can appear in the National Eligibility test-https://www.eduncle.com/cbse-ugc-net-exam if they are waiting for the results to be announced. There is no age limit to appear in the UGC NET Exam.
