Hello Jasper, If you are interested in teaching then NET is a good option. UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held for assistant professor posts in universities or colleges, for JRF awards and to pursue Ph.D. The minimum eligibility to apply for UGC NET exam is that candidates must have completed the post graduation degree from recognised university with more than 55% marks. As you have completed PG, if you fulfill the age criteria, you can apply for UGC NET exam for your post-graduation subject or its related subjects.

Hi Somi,
The UGC is an individual agency which is responsible to approve sure the quality education and infrastructure in the university and colleges. University Grant Commission gives approval to the colleges if it fulfill all the UGC Norms to provide the quality education to the students. After qualifying the NET exam you do not need to attend any written examination and will be selected based on personal interview. Hope it will help you. All the best.
