The major difference between SET and NET is that students who clear SET exam are applicable only to particular state universities/colleges for the lecturer post for the state they had applied whereas those who clear NET exam are applicable for all Indian universities/colleges for the lecturer post.
In order to be a professor you need to do your PG and then sit for NET exam conducted by UGC.

The Regional Institute of Education conducts will release the application form in the 2nd week of March 2018 and the exam will be on 19th June 2018. The application forms for RIE CEE 2018 will be available on the official website of NCERT. You are advised to be in contact with the official portal of the organisation for upcoming notification.

PMAT broadly has two test sections- Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability. You need to focus on section wise topics, solve mock tests. Your preparation level and scores are well reflected through your mock tests. There is no section wise time limit of the test, hence you have to be careful about the time management factor. Divide the time wisely between the two sections while solving mocks. Allot time to each section and save the last 15 minutes for revision. Follow the same through the last week and on the test day.
