To teach economics at the high school level, teachers must hold a Bachelors degree in economics or business, have completed a teacher-training program, and you must be certified to teach in Kolkata.
Some colleges may ask for a master degree in economics.

Hello,
National Eligibility Test (NET) which is conducted for the selection of talented candidates who want to pursue their career in the fields of research & lecturership.
Earlier, the University Grants Commission used to conduct the exam, but since 2015, CBSE is conducting the NET exam on the behalf of UGC.

To apply for B.Ed in RIE you need to have at least 50% marks in Bachelor's degree and /or in the Master's degree in Science/ Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor's Degree and /or in the Masters in Social Science/Humanities are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PH candidates).

In order to pursue a Masters degree from any reputed college, you need to have minimum 50% in graduation. So college do consider the percentage of 44% also. You need to decide on the college in which you wish to take admission and check their eligibility before applying.
