Yes, MDS graduates have excellent opportunities in both research and teaching. With specialization, they can work in dental colleges as lecturers or professors, contributing to academic training for future dentists.

In addition, MDS professionals can join research projects in pharmaceutical companies, dental material industries, and healthcare institutions. This dual scope allows graduates to contribute both scientifically and academically, beyond clinical practice.

Since the 1-year BEd course in India isn't officially implemented yet, we can't say that this degree will be valid for government jobs also. As of now, the 2-year BEd program is accepted for the government teaching position. In some cases, the distance BEd degree from IGNOU is also accepted.

The candidate can also opt for ITEP or Integrated Teaching programs to be eligible for the government teaching jobs.

Yes, you can apply for CTET Paper 1 only if you make sure that you meet the minimum teacher education requirement for Classes 1 to 5.

If we talk about Paper 1, CTET generally requires passing of Class 12 with 50% marks and also a 2-year D.El.Ed, or any certain equivalent teacher training qualifications.

But, since you have B.Ed, you are eligible for Paper 2 (Classes 6–8). But, the CTET notification also allows B.Ed grads to appear for Paper 1 only if they have undergone a short bridge course in elementary education after appointment.

Of course, not! Being a Hindi graduate, you can explore a lot of working fields other than teaching or translating. Depending on your interest, you can either go for competitive exams like Civil Services, banking, railway, etc., or you can pursue a PhD, get research-based roles in government organizations or universities.
Apart from these, if you like a full-time job in an office, you can join a media house, a radio station, an advertising agency, a marketing company, and so on.

Without a doubt, a Professor or Lecturer in a university gets a higher paycheck than a school teacher. To become a Professor or Lecturer, you need advanced degrees, like a PhD, and engage your time in research. However, a school teacher's minimum educational qualification is a BEd degree.

Yes, industry professionals with significant experience can transition to academia, particularly in engineering, management, and technical fields. This is a viable option for those researching how to become a professor in India without a purely academic background.
