Honestly, the teaching in Industrial Design at Chandigarh University is not just sitting in lectures and writing notes—it's quite hands-on. We do get the theoretical part, especially in the beginning, like understanding design concepts, materials, or human factors. But most of the time, professors want us to create and experiment. We spend a lot of time in studios, working on projects where we build models or try out ideas using software and prototyping tools. Sometimes it feels like a design lab more than a classroom, which I really enjoy. The practical exposure through live projects and industry-linked assignments keeps things interesting and prepares us for real jobs. Theory is there to guide us, but the actual learning happens while working on projects. For me, this practical-heavy approach makes the course feel very relevant.

In Chandigarh University's Fashion program, the teaching style balances theory and practice, but leans heavily toward practical learning. Students not only study design concepts, fashion trends, and fabric properties, but also spend most of their time in labs and studios creating actual garments and accessories. Computer labs and software sessions help them work on digital designs and 3D models. Field visits, internships, and live industry projects are also part of the curriculum, making learning interactive and applied. This method ensures that students understand both the theory behind fashion and how to implement it in real situations. By the end of the course, students are skilled in practical tasks like stitching, draping, pattern making, and digital designing, giving them a solid foundation for professional work.
