To be considered for admission to postgraduate Diploma programs, candidates must first confirm that they meet the prerequisites. A UG Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent from the University of Madras, or from any other university deemed to be equivalent, is required for eligibility. 

Entrance-based or merit-based criteria are used for admission to Madras University. Madras University takes the TANCET entrance test for admission to its MBA program. The institution accepts several other national entrance exams in addition to TANCET, including NATA, for admission to the BArch program.

Candidate can directly apply to Madras University (Institute of distance Education) from the official website. Candidate have to provide requisites as mentioned there 10+2+3 or equivalent exam results from recognised institutes. Also candidate must have good score on entrance exams such as the TANCET, CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or ATMA.

Madras University MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in TANCET. To secure a seat in MBA course at Madras University, candidates are required to qualify TANCET exam. Interested candidates can register for TANCET and check out the exam pattern to build a good preparation strategy to ace TANCET exam. Currently, Madras University admission 2024 application window is closed for PhD. However, the university starts its application window in the months of December, March, June and September. The upcoming application window is March. Candidates can visit the university's official website around the same period to apply for the course. The registrations are completely online to pursue PhD at Madras University.
