The University of Madras does not offer a B.A. in Archaeology. Its Department of Ancient History and Archaeology provides only postgraduate and research programs, such as M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Ancient History and Archaeology. The M.Sc Chemistry entrance exam at Madras University is for students who have completed a B.Sc in Chemistry or a related degree with Chemistry as the main subject, usually with at least 50–55% marks.
