The choice of which is better depends on the factor being used to compare the two. In terms of overall rankings, the University of Manitoba (#18 in Canada) is better than Memorial University of Newfoundland (#21 in Canada).

However, MUN Canada offers courses at some of the the lowest tuition rates in Canada, and is much more affordable if the budget is tight.

Course wise, MUN is better for Marine Biology, Engineering, and Business. Manitoba Uni is usually preferred for Agriculture and Health Sciences programs.

University of Manitoba acceptance rate stands at 52%, which makes it a moderately selective university to get into. In comparison with the University of Windsor acceptance rate of 60 - 70%, Manitoba University can be considered slightly more selective in its admission criteria.

As listed, getting into Uni of Manitoba is competitive. Hence, students must excel in academics to boost their chances. Apart from this, students who are outstanding in activities outside class also stand a good chance of securing admission.
