Scholarships are mostly given on the merit-basis and are awarded by the universities. Outstanding academic performances, research work, relevant knowledge are desired. The required exam for a scholarship differ with universities, for the universities in UK, mostly an applicant must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree with interest in dental public health, community dentistry, health promotion, etc. Additionally, you must take the IELTS. You can apply for the F-1 visa after you have been accepted by an American university. You are then required to submit proof of funds after which the university will issue the I-20, once you have received the I-20, you can apply for the F-1 visa.
