Hi Sahil,
It is worth if you pursue your studies from a reputed university. Getting your degree from any XYZ university abroad or USA will not do any good. It is important from a career point of view.
However, getting a job will depend on your own skills and credentials.
Hope this helps.

Hi Archana,
Very few Universities offer a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and moreover the duration is of one year. What you are looking for is probably MBA. To be eligible for MBA you must firstly have a work experience of 2 -3 years.
You should have a GMAT score of above 700 for top Universities. TOEFL score, good academic grades and significant extra-curricular activities. Since, you have provided very little information about yourself, I will not be able to suggest you Universities at this point.
Do write in details for further guidance.
Hope this helps.

Hi Saurav,
A Master's degree in Finance or a related field is recommended but not necessary. You can also have an MBA and then opt for PhD in Finance. You must however demonstrate excellent knowledge and quantitative skills, relevant experience and interest in Finance and high level inclination towards research and academics and the given subject. Assuming from your question that you are looking for a Ph.D in USA, please note that you must give the GMAT and TOEFL as a part of the admissions process. Having a FRM will definitely add a value.
Some of the best B-schools you can consider are:
1. NYU Stern.
2. University of Michigan.
3. Eli Bro

Hi Jonti,
University of Alabama-Birmingham , University of Minnesota-Twin Cities , Johns Hopkins University , University of Illinois Chicago and Indiana University-Blooming-ton are amongst the well known schools in this area.
The minimum admission requirement in most US universities is a bachelor's degree from an accredited school. Majority of the applications are submitted through the Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS) system or the Healthcare Administration, Management & Policy CAS (HAMPCAS). Additionally candidates must submit GRE scores and TOEFL or IELTS. You must regularly check the university websites for the ap

H1B visa fee hike directly affect the international students and their job prospects in USA. The reason behind this that now the companies will only sponsor visa according to their need, they will also see the talent and which student is suitable for them.I think it is a bad decision in terms of international education & trade, it should be reviewed. In-fact students are looking for the cost cutting of visa fee.

Hello Priya,
IELTS is not sufficient to do your MBA from USA. Please note that IELTS and TOEFL are only English proficiency tests and do not reflect your aptitude for either MBA or MS. You will be required to take the GMAT or the GRE besides other requirements.

Yes, scholarships are common in USA and typically merit based. However, I do work with some universities which offers partial scholarships for international students seeking to pursue an MBA. These are up to $10,000 in value.
