Hi,
Yes it is mandatory to take GRE test to pursue MS degree form US, GRE scores are one of the important eligibility criteria to to get admission in American universities to pursue MS program.
However there are some universities in US which do not require GRE scores, but it is advisable not to pursue MS from those universities.
For admission in MS degree in US you need to have GRE score of 300 plus, however please remember the GRE score requirement may vary from university to university and from course to course.

Hi Swapna, the eligibility to pursue MS programs depends on the course you are choosing. Most of the courses look for your GRE and TOEFL scores and your under graduation degree to see the relevance of your program choice. 15 years of education is readily accepted in several US universities. Besides 16 years if education you also need to have:
- Atleast 2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation.
- High score in GMAT
- High scores in IELTS or TOEFL.
Preferred GMAT score- 550 plus.
Preferred TOEFL score- 90 plus with no band less than 20.
Preferred IELTS score- 7 bands plus with no individual band below 6.5
