JNN Institute of Technology admissions are held on the basis of entrance tests. Students wishing to take admissions can visit the official website and check the course-wise eligibility as well as specialisations. The accepted exams at the institute include TNEA and TANCET, etc. After obtaining valid scores and appearing for the counselling sessions, students can visit the official website and apply for their preferred course.

With a TNEA rank of 12,648 and a cutoff of 174 for Civil Engineering at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, your chances are very low.

  • The cutoff rank is much better (lower) than your rank.

  • You may not get Civil Engineering in this college through counselling.

  • Consider other branches or other colleges with higher cutoff ranks as backup options.

If you belong to the General AI quota, Kumaraguru College of Technology has the highest cutoff rank of 5605 for admission to the B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science course. The lower the cutoff rank, the higher the competition, and vice versa. Other available colleges of Anna University for admission, with comparatively relaxed cutoff ranks of 6119 and 8426, were the Chennai Institute of Technology and Anna University - Coimbatore Regional Campus, respectively. A few more colleges are tabulated below:

Top colleges (CEG, PSG, MIT Chennai): Require very high marks and ranks (cutoff 198+ out of 200; ranks below 1,500).

Mid-tier colleges: Cutoffs around 192–197; ranks between 3,000 to 10,000+.

Other colleges: Lower cutoffs (170–190) and ranks from 10,000 up to 80,000+ offer seats in many private/self-financing colleges.

Now choice is yours choose accordingly and best of luck for your future

From what I've seen, Kongu Engineering College's TNEA cutoff for CSE, IT, and ECE usually stays above 180–190, so with 175 it's tough for those. But you can still get branches like Mechanical, Civil or EEE. The fees come to around INR 55 K – INR 60 k per year, and hostel charges are extra.
