Students should pass the class 12th examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate. AKU Indore has nine departments that are housed at its main campus. These departments collectively offer more than 25 courses at UG, PG and Diploma level, including BE, BSc, BA, MTech, MA, MBA, etc., among various others. APJ Abdul Kalam University offers courses at the PhD, PG, UG, Diploma/Polytechnic level. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University offers more than 12 courses in the stream of Design, Engineering, and Science among others. 

For B.Tech courses, candidates must have passed the 12th from Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 60% along with the qualification result of BCECE.  The cut off ranks for Abdul Kalam Technical University is really high and  if you want to take admission in Abdul Kalam University through JEE Mains your rank must be under 40K.

For students from reserved classes scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), other backward castes (OBC—non-creamy layer)who are pursuing higher education, the government of Madhya Pradesh has established scholarship programmes. 

On the Adim Jati Kalyan Vibhaag website, candidates can submit an online application to be eligible for benefits under these programs.
