My M.Sc. journey in Allahabad.

Placements: However, there were no direct placements after the course, but students studying at C.M.P. Degree College had a bright future, I guess, if they wanted to pursue further. With the support of exposure during the M.Sc. program, students got the right idea to go further in the field.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was not honestly something to boast about, but in reality, it was not very good. But studies there were exceptional. Labs, classrooms, and the library were very well maintained. Well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and a huge library offered a lot to students. The college had a canteen as well, but it didn't offer a great variety. But it could save you from dying of hunger. The medical, sports, and games facilities were great there.

Faculty: Highly qualified professionals, with their advanced knowledge, helped students a lot by guiding them about their careers. The curriculum was very relevant and offered great exposure during the course. Semester exams were organized, and the pass percentage was 34%, as expected, this meant 33% failed.

Other: I chose M.Sc. Zoology as I was very much fascinated by the zoological field and would have loved to explore it. The course, though, needed to become more aligned with real life, as merely traditional teaching wouldn't have done much for students, as the world was ready to embrace AI in everything. We needed to improvise the course from time to time.

I was very much satisfied with the Chaudhary Mahadev Prasad Degree College and its faculty members.

Placements: The course fee is Rs. 20,000 per year. We had 2 years of programme. Out of 60, around 20 students made their way ahead in Ph.D. and the rest are preparing for UGC/CSIR NET. Many are working in labs as well. Few are pursuing some other fields as per their interest.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, nothing much eye-catching but still was overall good. Construction was going on at that time. Roads were being constructed at that time. We had water logging issue but now, it's all good and fine. They had painted the college and it looks good now.

Faculty: Our teachers are amazing. The curriculum was superb and the way they conducted exams was awesome. They had good and managing schedules for our exams, workshops, internships, etc. We were taken to Lucknow, IFFCO, Varanasi, and many more for our workshops. It was all good.

Other: We had fests, freshers, farewell, internships, workshops, etc. The whole 2 years passed like nothing and we enjoyed our M.Sc. Journey.

Absolutely amazing collage among all the colleges affiliated with Allahabad University.

Placements: I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in Chemistry. It is evident that from our department, there are 5 students who cracked JRF rank in the previous NET exam, and the law department has many more placements. From our Chemistry department, one of our scholars, Ashutosh Mishra is placed at South Denmark University with the package of 12 lakh per month. In our course, there are many more facilities for placement in the pharma industries for the post of lab assistant. 8-10% of each batch is placed from here and Rojgaar Mela is also organized, where many global and national companies participate.

Infrastructure: In our college, classrooms are clean and well-maintained, with desks and benches. Labs are rich, with apparatus required for each and every practical and the essential chemicals are also present. I have a very grateful experience of the lab here. There is a departmental library for Chemistry students. There is a central library, having facilities like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and the best books from both Indian and foreign authors.

Faculty: In our department, most of the teachers are JRF-qualified in chemistry and are well-experienced in teaching. The experimental knowledge of a few professors seems to be very extraordinary, because they have great knowledge of chemical analytics. Exams are quite difficult, but the support and the conceptual lectures provided by the professors are very relevant and completely helpful in the exam.

Allahabad University Oxford of the East.

Placements: Allahabad University, Oxford of the east has a lot of students from different zones of India studying higher education. The average salary package offered is about 15 LPA - 20 LPA or above. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Jio Digital, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our department are very good. Our labs are useful. In the library, there is a central library. We find all types of books in different areas or courses. Facilities in our hostel are very good. The food available in the mess is very good. Sports and games are played every day as Khelo India by Indian Government.

Faculty: Our teachers are from well-qualified institutes like IIT, IISC, and central universities. They are very polite and helpful. As we know the competition is reserved day by day, and the difficulty of semester exams also rises in universities.

Almost average college for those who are belonging to weak family.

Placements: The placement cell is not good; only 2-3 companies come to hire students for higher education. I passed my M.Sc. from CMP College, but no companies came to offer placements. It is very common for CMP students to go to Allahabad University for their placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also very bad. They need to refurbish the whole college. When it rains, the whole college gets flooded, and that day, the college announces a holiday. There is no place to use the washrooms properly. They should build quality washrooms for males as well as females.

Faculty: The average college faculty is good, but the infrastructure is not. They should work on it. The garden inside the college is given to someone else (coaching institutes), so CMP students are not taking advantage of the garden, which is not good.

Other: CMP College is a government college, which provides relief through its fees; that is the only advantage of this college.

East or West, University of Allahabad is the best.

Placements: Currently, from the year 2020, a company called TCS is coming to our department in M.Sc. Statistics, and the placement goes on. Out of 26 students, there are placements for two students. This will increase year by year. By this, the placement self-rating will increase.

Infrastructure: There is Digital India support, which is a broadband Wi-Fi network provided by the University of Allahabad to all the students who are in the main campus. They have to submit an application form, with the sign of their department head, and it will be submitted to the IT cell department of the University of Allahabad. The quality of the hostel is not so good, not so bad, but it will be the best.

Faculty: This is the best thing about the University of Allahabad: the faculty members are well-qualified and very kind towards students. They show all the possible support to each and every student to grow in their life and build the best career ever. They advise students on what to choose and how to choose a career.

Other: I have selected M.Sc. Statistics from the University of Allahabad as I want to grow my knowledge in data science, and here the faculty members are the best in that field of data science. In our department, many festivals are celebrated. Recently, we celebrated Diwali with our faculty members, workers, and all dear students and friends.

I want to say overall features provided here are very good .

Placements: Overall, it is very good here. The college campus provides placement, internship, and skills for students. The package will be approximately 10 lac annum. So, my experience is better. The college has good placement assistance for undergraduate and postgraduate students . Placements are good.

Infrastructure: I am speechless to say about the hostel because everything is in a totally homely environment, and the food is fresh. By the way, I think all courses are the best, but I want to say MSc Zoology is the best experience for me. Each course is handled by a perfect teacher and made easy for us. And their behaviour is so friendly with each other. Their hostels are the safest place for girls and boys, and the meals are also healthy. I learned time management here.

Faculty: Faculty curriculum exam: In all activities, all teachers provide guidelines and a helping nature. So, I want to say that without thinking, you can join here . Our college is the safest and best place. We feel safe there. The library is well maintained, and especially our department and teachers provide us with the best updated knowledge. Practicals are very well performed, which is the most important thing for a science student.

Other: Here, celebrate events like fresher farewell, festive season, and celebration of participants. I think here, we can improve our skills with courses. The most common memories people have of college life are definitely goofing around with friends. They remember how the group of friends walked around the college in style and played silly pranks on each other .

One of the best things about this university is its syllabus.

Placements: From the end of the 3rd semester, students are available for campus placements. Companies like Hetero and Aurobindo Pharma visit and give offers to more than 100 students every year. The highest packages are around 2,00,000 per year, and the average packages are 1,50,000 annually. The profiles offered include quality control, R&D, etc. Students can pursue eligible PhDs or required jobs in their respective streams.

Infrastructure: I opted for a hostel and got a non-sharing seat. However, the number of hostel seats is limited across the whole university. Students from our department easily get seats in the hostel because they come from different states, and our entrance is based on a national level. The food in the mess is not great in terms of taste, but we can eat it. However, we don't get food on Sunday night, so we have to arrange for ourselves, thanks to nearby food stalls and restaurants that are not far away. Hostel fee: INR 40,000 per year; external expenses: Rs. 2,000 - Rs. 4,000.

Faculty: My course is entirely research-based as it is M.Sc. Biotechnology. We have practical periods three days a week, and if we need to spend more time in the labs, we can directly ask the concerned faculty for permission, which is usually granted. Research scholars also help us if we need any assistance. We learn practical skills during lab lectures that will definitely be helpful for us in the future during our dissertation and PhDs. My faculty members are also very helpful; they solve all our problems. Course examinations include: Test 1 of 20 marks, mid-semester exam of 20 marks, Test 2 of 20 marks, and an external examination of 60 marks. We receive results in CGPA. There were plans for an industrial visit, but we couldn't go due to the corona crisis. Class size: 18; course fees: INR 8,000 per year.
