The university is better than expected when compared to other government universities.

Placements: There are no particular placement offers for geography as in the master's programme at our university. But the opportunities to hone skills in various aspects, like gis, and other areas of geography, are plenty.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is good as expected. There is a huge central library available nearby, and reading rooms are made available for interested candidates. There is a seminar hall. Other infrastructural facilities are satisfactory.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced and commendable in their own areas of teaching. They are cooperative in teaching the required topics. They guide students in the required areas, and the rest is up to the students. Exams are conducted semester-wise, and mid-term exams are also conducted. The curriculum is relevant to today's study structures.

It provides excellent professors and a good atmosphere on the campus.

Placements: Many students are preparing for civil services examination through geography optional. Geographic information systems are also playing a key role in our life. Around 20-25% of students get this opportunity in different companies. The companies are located in different cities like Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.

Infrastructure: In this college, a library facility is available in this university, and a Wi-Fi facility is also available and boys' messes and girls' messes are separated. A canteen facility is available and a dispensary i.e medical facilities are also available. This university provided indoor games and physical activities on the large ground.

Faculty: In this college, teachers are excellent. They are highly qualified and researcher scholars are also available. The entire course will help a lot with my knowledge. Studying this course to acquire knowledge will help teach in schools and colleges. Semester exams are difficult, and the pass percentage is 85%.

Other: I am studying and preparing for various competitive exams like UPSC Appsc. Geography is very important in competitive exams and civil services exams, geography is one optional subject. Andhra Pradesh government provided scholarships only for SC, ST, and OBC. The campus surroundings are very clean.

How can I apply to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for M.Sc in geography?

Hi Manohar , You have to qualify your UG with minimum of 45% . Apply for AUCET (Andhra University Common Entrance Test) . And, you have to get good percentage i.e.top ranks in AUCET .Based on the counseling process, you'll get admission, if you fulfill the eligibility criteria.
