It's indeed nice to know your dreams of becoming an aeronautical engineer. Unfortunately, almost all states in India allow only domiciles of their state to seek admission in engineering colleges of the state. I would like to vote to Anna University for architecture course. I will not say much about the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science as I don't consider this college comparable to Anna University, Chennai. Anna College is situated in Chennai with good environment and facilities. The campus placement of this college is very good. Various companies have already started to come here in college for recruitment, even at the end of third semester/fourth semester. Hostel facilities like room temperature and food are nice. Transportation is above average and canteens food is clean and good. North Indian food is also available in this canteen. Faculty is well appreciated. Overall, it is the best college for middle-class people.

About Admissions
Anna University offers degree courses to students at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate Ph.D. levels. The courses offered are in the streams including Engineering, Science, Business & Management Studies, IT & Software, and Architecture & Planning.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Courses
Candidates who have cleared Class XII or its equivalent from a recognized board fulfill Anna University eligibility criteria for UG courses. The admission is based on your board exam marks and the PCM average out of 200. As there are reservations based on the caste, if you belong to the general category, you may need to have an average of at least 197/200, for BC 195/200, SC 192/200 and ST 190/200. Admission process:
Anna University admissions are done on the basis of merit as well as entrance exam scores depending on the course a candidate is applying for.
Admission process for BE/ B.Tech/ B.Arch courses: Anna University admissions in BE/ B.Tech/ B.Arch courses are done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).
