For general category students, a score of 199.5 to 200 out of 200 in the 10+2 examination is likely to secure a seat on the basis of merit. The eligibility criteria for TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) state that candidates should have a minimum average marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together in 12th grade. The minimum average marks required for general category students is 45%.

The Cutoff for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Exam (TNAE) is about 85% for the College. However, there is no entrance exam for admission to engineering courses at Anna University, and allotment is done on the basis of merit.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions is a state-level admission process conducted by Anna University for admission to various engineering institutions in Tamil Nadu. The eligibility criteria for the same require candidates to have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks in (PCM) Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
