Breaking Barriers: Women, Power, and a Whole Lot of Heart at Parul University

There is a quiet strength in the way women are shaping spaces once thought out of their reach. They enter with confidence, and soon those spaces begin to replace them. At Parul University, this transformation is not about slogans or spectacles. It is about the steady, everyday moments that affirm, "You belong here, and you deserve to thrive."

Parul University is a state private university that was established in 2015. It is approved by AICTE, BCI, INC, UGC, and PCI. The university is NAAC  A++ accredited. Parul University admissions are entrance-based. Some of the popular Parul University courses offered by the university include BTech, BBA, BArch, MCA, and MBA. 

Where Chaptis Meet Confidence

Tucked inside the campus is a food stall called Mummy n' Yummy. It carries the fragrance of home, and the quiet strength of resilience. The women who run it aren't professional chefs. They are mothers, neighbours, and community members from underprivileged backgrounds. With support from Parul University's Social Responsive Cell, they found not just a platform but a sense of agency.

For students, the stall has become a home away from home, giving them a sense of comfort that only a home-cooked meal can provide. For the women running the stall, it is a way to embrace ownership, dignity, and independence which they rightfully deserve.

Growth Without Waiting for Permission

At Parul University, the Women's Development Cell is not about rescuing anyone. It is about recognising that women do not need a knight in shining armour. What they need is space to to freely express themselves. Direction and mentors who walk alongside instead of ahead. At the university, career ambitions are equally valued and respected as academic ones.

Empowerment, Rooted in Everyday Life

Empowerment shows up in smaller, everyday ways, instead of big slogans. Some of the projects run by the university are as follows:

• Garima: Where women learn skills that help them earn in their own name.
• Sahiyar-Gram-Hatt is a space for women from villages to showcase their handcrafted work
• Sanjeevani: A credit society run by women, where finance becomes more of a tool than a barrier.

Start-ups with Spirit

When Parul University held its Women Start-Up Meet 4.0, it became a gathering of stories. Stories of ambition, setbacks, resilience, and fresh starts. Over 3,500 women showed up at the meet. Some came to pitch, some came to learn. When the university hosted a panel, on stage sat the Rajmata of Baroda, a foreign diploma, and Dr Parul Patel. Each woman being an iconic chapter in the book of bold leadership.

Where Policy Meets Poetry

When Parul University hosted the AIU National Women's Student Parliament, the campus felt more alive and urgent. The event witnessed over a thousand women from every corner of India. They came not to simply watch, but to speak, argue, and challenge. The event was not only about politics. It became a stage to turn ideas into action, to speak their minds, about proving that policy can be as personal as poetry,

Because, the truth is, women do not need permission to enter the spaces of power. All they need is a working mic and a room willing to listen.
