Parul University has strengthened its position as a globally recognized institution for sustainability and impact driven education by securing a spot in the 401–600 band worldwide and, among the Top 40 institutions in India, in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ratings 2026. This growth shows the university’s steady advancement in teaching, healthcare, research, innovation, business partnerships, and community work. The new rankings highlight its increasing role in making a real difference in society. This milestone proves Parul University's strong focus on supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) via green practices, fair growth, and purpose-driven campus projects.

Among its most notable achievements, SDG 4, Quality Education, emerged as a key area of distinction, where the university secured a global rank of 46th, while securing the 7th position in India in this category, placing the university in the world’s leading circle of institutions that push for accessible inclusive and high-quality learning.

In SDG 5-Gender Equality, Parul University secured a global rank of 60th, while securing 6th position among the Indian institutions and entering the Global Top 100. For SDG 3 -Good Health and Well-being, it moved further up to the 101-200 global band and was also recognized among the Top 10 institutions in India, positioning itself close to the world’s leading institutions when it comes to healthcare training, medical research, patient care, and community wellness programs.

Further strengthening its global sustainability footprint, the university made its debut entry under SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, securing a place in the 401-600 global band while also being ranked among the Top 50 institutions in India. Then, under SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals, the university actually advanced to the exceptional 201-300 global band and earned recognition as one of the Top 20 institutions in India, which points to the strength of its international collaborations, industry partnerships, research networks, and even community engagement initiatives.

The ratings also underline the university’s integrated way towards sustainable development, with initiatives that range across healthcare, entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, gender inclusion, environmental sustainability, internationalization, skill development and community outreach. Through its academic ecosystem and various societal engagement programs, the university keeps on contributing towards making meaningful solutions for today’s global problems.

Speaking on the achievement, Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Vice President, Parul University, said, “The Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings are a reflection of an institution’s ability to create meaningful change beyond conventional academic measures. Our progress across multiple Sustainable Development Goals demonstrates the collective efforts of our students, faculty, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry partners, and community stakeholders. These ratings motivate us to further strengthen our commitment towards innovation, sustainability, inclusivity, and global impact.”

With its entry into the Global Top 50 for Quality Education, Global Top 100 for Gender Equality, significant achievement in health and wellbeing, and a rise in international partnerships, the university keeps strengthening its role as a catalyst for good societal change, on both national and global platforms.
