Birsa Agricultural University is the only agricultural university of Jharkhand. It has faculty of agriculture, veterinary, forestry, dairy, fisheries and biotechnology in it.
BAU being a government college has a good infrastructure, campus size and professors here are well qualified. BAU can be considered a good college to pursue any of the degrees listed above for students in Jharkhand and nearby states.
As there is selection by JCECEB exam and then counselling is done where this college comes in the top priority of students and is not easy to get into top courses of the college.
Bau established in 1981 is a good location for undergrad studies in Agricultural sector. It is recognised under UGC and also accredited by ICAR. This recognition enhances the university's programme legitimacy and has the potential to positively impact students' prospects for advanced education and professional advancement.
Overall Infrastructure, campus size is great and teaching here is also good. So you may consider joining the college if you have keen interest in the course.

Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi was inaugurated by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi former Prime Minister of India on June 26, 1981. It is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Agricultural, and Forestry.
BAU Ranchi cut off is based on the marks decided by the University and the number of candidates appeared for exam. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks to apply for further admission process.

Students have the option of applying to internships both offline and online. However, it is not compulsory except for the veterinary students. They have a compulsory internship of 6 months.
However various trainings and industrial visits are organised regularly for the students' exposure and awareness. We have a full semester dedicated for the visit of these industries and institutes.
